• Alan Garry, RA

    FOUNDING PARTNER

    Alan has designed and executed numerous tv studios, event spaces, residential, commercial and institutional projects for over 40 years. Projects include Chelsea Arts Tower, ESPN Seaport Studios, The Daily Show, and NEP Mobile Studios. The core principles of his work focus on aesthetic design and workflow functionality. His expertise includes complicated coordination of hi-tech equipment with the aesthetics of the overall space. Alan believes that communication is the essence of great architecture.

    Alan holds a B.S. in Construction Science and B.Arch from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1972. He is also a practicing artist, whose works are regularly featured in local and national galleries.

  • Debbie Kossar, RA

    FOUNDING PARTNER

    With over 35 years of experience, Debra Kossar has extensive expertise in successfully navigating complex building and zoning codes, while providing innovative design and meticulous construction supervision. Projects include 200 East 6th Street, The Art Student’s League, and Spencer Street Apartments. Her accomplishments include new construction, conversion and renovation of residential, commercial & institutional buildings. From private apartments to mixed-use towers, offices and dormitories, she brings energy and enthusiasm to every project.

    Debbie holds a B.S. in Construction Science and B.Arch from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1978.

  • Patrick Candalla, RA

    ASSOCIATE

    Patrick joined KGA in 2015, contributing his experience in SD thru CD, building code, zoning, and accessibility issues to the firm. Prior to joining KGA, Patrick worked at other international design offices in NYC, NJ, Shanghai, and Beijing. At KGA, he has managed the firm’s affordable and supportive housing projects, including Women in Need UES and True Colors Harlem.

    Patrick holds a B. Arch from NJIT in 2007. He is currently pursuing CPHD/C certification with the Passive House Institute.
